People who are layman/Non-clinician EEG biofeedback users usually fall into two categories– People who are seeking to improve the health, attention and performance of themselves or a family member People who are interested in exploring enhanced mental and physical performance, consciousness and altered inner states.

We think it’s important to know what you are doing before you start tinkering with your brain or family members’ brains. EEG Biofeedback can be an awesome tool that can really make a difference in a person’s live. But it is wise to prepare for the biofeedback journey by learning more about the basic neurophysiology, technology and, most important, the different learning and training models. There are big differences from one trainer to the next. The Neurofeedback / EEG Biofeedback Foundations Course exposes you to a wide selection of trainers whose approaches are very different– from those who focus on brain mapping to those who focus on whole head synchrony to those who take a spiritual, higher consciousness approach. Even if you chose one particular approach to emphasize, it can be very valuable to know the alternate considerations. The trainers in the DVD course are at the top of the field, yet kind and sharing in providing knowledge for newcomers to the field. You will finish this course knowing and understanding much more about the field, far better prepared to start using EEG technology. We do feel that it is advisable for laymen to seek a professional biofeedback practitioner to guide them and get them off to a good start with home training. If you are using biofeedback for personal self growth and self exploration, as opposed to working with a health concern, then this is a bit less of an issue. Still, if I were to start learning a new sport, like Golf, or to fly a plane, I’d want an instructor and training. Doesn’t your brain deserve the same consideration?
